Be'eri Moalem was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and lives in Palo Alto, California.  He has performed as violinist and violist in various chamber ensembles (San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Classical Revolution, Rossmoyne Chamber Players, quartets at various festivals and universities) Jewish music bands (ZIVA Band, Halelu Band at Peninsula Temple Beth El, Shabbat in the Round Congregation Beth Am) and full-scale symphony orchestras (Monterey Symphony, Fresno Symphony, California Chamber Symphony,Viva La Musica! ).

He studied violin with William Whitson, viola performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Paul Hersh and Jodi Levittz and composition at San Jose State University with Pablo Furman.  Other than playing string instruments, Be'eri is also an avid composer, writer, and teacher.  His hobbies and interests include traveling, hiking, biking, basketball, gardening, technology, vegetarianism, environmentalism, Judaism, wine, politics, history, etc........
